The first "Hellaherb" Boogie took place at Beromünster airfield in 2004, but the groundwork for it was laid much earlier.
Originally, in 2001, a helicopter flight (Hella) was organized to celebrate the birthday of a skydiver named Herbert (Herb), who traveled all the way from the USA to Switzerland for the occasion.
At the same time, several members of the Beromünster Paraclub were already working on developing an idea for a skydiving meet-up with the aim of promoting the sport and making it more accessible to the general public.
Today, the event is a great opportunity to meet other skydivers, make jumps, and have a fantastic time together.
The Hellaherb Boogie has become a fixture on every skydiving calendar and continues to forge new friendships within the skydiving community across Europe.
